Porch Potty Makes Boating with Your Dog Easy Peasy!

There’s something about the open waters that calls to you. You’ve always dreamed of heading out for an extended boating adventure, but what about your best buddy?

Bring him or her with you, of course!

There are a few adjustments that you will need to make to accommodate a canine at sea, but with a little planning, it can be smooth sailing.

The biggest question that seems to plague devoted dog people is “Can I house train my dog while on a boating trip?” Absolutely!

While teaching them to use puppy pads or a rigorous “potty on command” training program are possible, we have the best solution of them all. Just bring your backyard with you!

We’re not kidding!

Bring all the comfort and familiarity of what naturally attracts dogs, grass, right onto the boat with a Porch Potty. With two sizes to choose from, you’re bound to find a perfect fit to suit your needs.

Transition your fur-buddy to use the Porch Potty while leading up to your trip, and then voila! Potty training your dog on a boat is simply a matter of bringing your Porch Potty along and letting its familiar scent and feel do all the work for you.

If you're worried about odors in such a confined area, we'd recommend adding a bottle of TURFtastic to your cart. The first odor eliminator formulated specifically for dog potties, it'll help keep your Porch Potty and boat fresh.

With the convenience of bringing a little bit of home with you, both you and your dog can relax and enjoy the experience.

Happy travels!

  • “I have a puppy that is using the porchpotty with the grass but it holds on to the wee smell much more than if she wees on the patio. Any suggestions. I am thinking of getting rid of it.” – Julie Dale

We recommend rinsing the Potty everyday with at least a gallon of water. We also have the Turftastic that helps break down odor causing bacteria.

Once every two weeks or once a week, it would be best to give the Potty a good cleaning. Using warm water and vinegar or water with bleach. Wash the tray down with the solution and us a rag to clean the sides and under the tray. Some times urine can get trapped when our dogs miss their mark. After give the Potty a rinse and let dry completely.
